La Vuelta a España 2026
25 August 2026
dorra will once again feature on the route of La Vuelta a España in 2026, hosting a full stage as part of the 81st edition of the Spanish race. The event will take place on a key day for cycling fans, starting and finishing in Andorra la Vella.
The Andorran stage will be short but particularly demanding. The peloton will tackle a mountain route featuring several passes that will put the riders to the test from the very first kilometres. Among the main challenges are the Port d’Envalira, the Collada de Beixalís, the Coll d’Ordino and La Comella – climbs well known for their difficulty and their role in major cycling stages.
This fourth stage could become one of the first major tests for the favourites in the general classification. Its climbs, the cumulative elevation gain and the high-mountain terrain will mean that the best cyclists will have to start showing their hand.
For those visiting Andorra during this period, La Vuelta offers a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a major international competition up close, cheer on the peloton from the roadside and enjoy the spectacle of professional cycling in a stunning natural setting.
La Vuelta 2026 will take place from 22 August to 13 September, featuring a 21-stage route between Monaco and Granada.
